Youth Support Service

Youth Support Service

The Charleville Youth Support Service is focused on providing support to vulnerable young people and strengthening their relationships with their families and support networks. The service is targeted specifically at young people aged 8 to 21 years who are at risk of disconnecting from their family, community, or support networks; disengaging from school, training, and/or employment; harm, including self-harm; and homelessness, or being at risk of homelessness.

The Youth Support Service provides an essential early intervention response to young people who present with risk factors that may impact their well-being and result in harm, homelessness, and/or negative health outcomes. By identifying issues early, the service helps young people access the right support before problems escalate.

The service aims to ensure that young people are referred to the most appropriate services for their identified needs, taking into account their individual circumstances and the available resources. By connecting young people with the right support, the service helps them build stability and resilience.

The Charleville Youth Support Service helps young people acquire the skills and resources needed to improve their situation. This includes providing general information, advice, and referrals, coordinating access to support networks, and encouraging social, personal, and community development. The service works to empower young people to build resilience and achieve positive long-term outcomes.
